Jakarta's Jalan Sudirman-Harmoni Closed for New Year's Eve 2025: Traffic Diversion and Parking Guidance

TEMPO.CO, JakartaThe Jakarta Metropolitan Police will implement a car free night along Jalan Sudirman and Harmoni in Central Jakarta on New Year's Eve, Tuesday, December 31, 2024. This closure will commence at 6 p.m. and remain in effect until the conclusion of all celebratory events, anticipated around 1 a.m.

“The closure of the Sudirman-Harmoni route during the car-free night will begin at 6 p.m. and continue until the completion of all celebratory events,” confirmed Senior Commissioner Latif Usman, Director of Traffic for Metro Jaya Police, on Tuesday, December 31, 2024.

Latif said that traffic diversions will be implemented starting at 4 p.m. to facilitate the smooth traffic flow during the closure. The following traffic diversion measures will be in place:

  • Traffic from Jalan Hayam Wuruk towards Jalan Majapahit: Diverted left onto Jalan Juanda.

  • Traffic from Jalan Veteran Raya turning left towards Jalan Majapahit: Straightened onto Jalan Suryo Pranoto or diverted right onto Jalan Gajah Mada.

  • Traffic from Jalan Veteran Raya towards Jalan Veteran III: Straightened towards the Harmoni traffic light.

  • Traffic from Jalan Veteran Raya towards Jalan Veteran II: Straightened towards the Harmoni traffic light.

  • Traffic from Jalan Medan Merdeka Timur towards Jalan Medan Merdeka Utara: Diverted right onto Jalan Perwira.

  • Traffic from Jalan Taman Pejambon towards Jalan Pejambon and Medan Merdeka Utara: Diverted left onto Jalan Pejambon towards Tugu Tani.

  • Traffic from Jalan MI Ridwan Rais towards Jalan Medan Merdeka Selatan: Straightened onto Jalan Medan Merdeka Timur.

  • Traffic from Jalan Abdul Muis towards Jalan Budi Kemuliaan: Diverted onto Jalan Fachrudin.

  • Traffic from Jalan Fachrudin towards Jalan Budi Kemuliaan: Diverted onto Jalan Abdul Muis.

  • Traffic from Jalan Abdul Muis towards Jalan Kebon Sirih or Tugu Tani: Diverted onto Jalan Fachrudin.

  • Traffic from Jalan Sabang towards Tanah Abang: Diverted towards Tugu Tani.

  • Traffic from Jalan Agus Salim or Jalan KH Wahid Hasyim towards Jalan MH Thamrin: Diverted onto Jalan Agus Salim or Jalan Sabang.

  • Traffic from Jalan Fachrudin towards Jalan KH Wahid Hasyim: Diverted onto Jalan KH Mas Mansyur.

  • Traffic from Jalan Imam Bonjol towards Bundaran HI: Diverted onto Jalan Agus Salim.

  • Traffic from Jalan Agus Salim towards Jalan Jenderal Sudirman: Diverted onto Jalan Imam Bonjol.

  • Traffic from Jalan Galunggung towards Jalan Jenderal Sudirman: Diverted onto Jalan Karet Pasar Baru III.

  • Traffic from Jalan KH Mas Mansyur towards Jalan Jenderal Sudirman: Diverted onto Jalan Dr Satrio.

  • Traffic from Jalan Dr Satrio towards Jalan Jenderal Sudirman: Diverted onto Jalan KH Mas Mansyur.

  • Traffic from Jalan Bendungan Hilir towards Jalan Jenderal Sudirman: Diverted back onto Jalan Bendungan Hilir.

  • Traffic from the West of Jalan Gatot Subroto towards Jalan Jenderal Sudirman: Diverted to the East of Jalan Gatot Subroto.

  • Traffic from the East of Jalan Gatot Subroto towards Jalan Jenderal Sudirman: Diverted to the West of Jalan Gatot Subroto.

  • Traffic from Jalan Pintu 5 Senayan towards Jalan Jenderal Sudirman: Diverted to Jalan Pintu 1 Senayan.

  • Traffic from Jalan Sisingamangaraja towards Jalan Jenderal Sudirman: Diverted to Jalan Hang Lekir I.

  • Traffic from Jalan Asia Afrika towards Bundaran Senayan: Diverted to Jalan Hang Lekir I.

  • Traffic from Jalan Senopati towards Jalan Jenderal Sudirman: Diverted to Jalan Pattimura.

  • Traffic flow at the Al-Azhar traffic light: Situational diversions will be implemented.

  • Traffic flow at the CSW traffic light: Situational diversions will be implemented.

  • Traffic flow at the Monalisa traffic light: Situational diversions will be implemented.

To accommodate vehicles during the event, the following parking pockets have been designated:
