TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Vice President of the United States, JD Vance, announced on Sunday night that he will host a special episode of 'The Charlie Kirk Show' this week. As reported by Fox News on Monday, September 15, 2025, the episode is scheduled to air at 12:00 p.m. local time.
"Tomorrow, I will have the honor of hosting the Charlie Kirk Show," Vance wrote on the social platform X, while sharing a photo of Kirk's familiar desk, microphone, porcelain cup, and coaster.
He added a poignant tribute, urging others to "Please join me as I pay tribute to my friend."
Several hours after Charlie Kirk's passing, Vance had paid his final respects in a lengthy post on X. "And now that Charlie is in heaven, I’ll ask him to talk to big man directly on behalf of his family, his friends, and the country he loved so dearly," Vance was quoted as saying by The Hill. "You ran a good race, my friend. We’ve got it from here."
Vance said Kirk first contacted him in 2017 after he appeared on former Fox News host Tucker Carlson's show. The Vice President added that before he ran for Senator in 2021, Kirk "was one of the first people I called" and played a crucial role in his victory in 2022.
On Thursday, Vance and his wife, Usha Vance, flew to Utah to accompany Kirk's family and his coffin back to Phoenix on Air Force Two.
The following day, Andrew Kolvet, the show's producer, hosted The Charlie Kirk Show alongside Kirk’s friends, including Tyler Bowyer, Jack Posobiec, and Blake Neff, as reported by NewsNation.
Kirk, 31, a loyal ally of President Donald Trump and a co-founder of the conservative student group Turning Point USA, was killed by a single gunshot at a public event attended by 3,000 people in Orem, located about 65 kilometers from Salt Lake City. Tyler Robinson, the man arrested for the killing of the prominent right-wing agitator, has remained silent, making it difficult for authorities to determine the motive behind the murder.
