Jin Ting Wan, Highest Cantonese Fine Dining Restaurant Opening Soon in Singapore

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - After a massive renovation, Marina Bay Sands will open a fine dining restaurant, Jin Ting Wan, this summer. Jin Ting Wang, located on the 55th floor of Hotel Tower 1, will be the highest Cantonese fine dining restaurant in Singapore. While indulging in fine dining, visitors will also be treated to a spectacular view overlooking the city skyline and the sea.

Tane Picken, Senior Vice President and Chief Hospitality Officer of Marina Bay Sands, said this unique dining experience aims to strengthen their position as a leading integrated resort worldwide. "Jin Ting Wan brings us closer to this vision, and we have ambitions to deliver unparalleled dining experiences that will set new industry benchmarks in Singapore and beyond," he said in a written statement.

Jin Ting Wan translates to "Golden Dragonfly" in Mandarin and is a poetic tribute to the location of Marina Bay Sands. "Jin," or gold, refers to the first character of Marina Bay Sands, and "Ting" refers to dragonfly, often seen around the bay, symbolizing the hope that the restaurant reflects the elegance of this creature's movements. Lastly, "Wan," which means bay, indicates the water element associated with luck and prosperity, and serves as a distinctive symbol of the Marina Bay area.

The specially crafted interior design of Jin Ting Wan will reflect the meaning behind its name, with delicate dragonfly motifs and a blend of contemporary and elegant oriental elements. The restaurant will also reintroduce the beautiful tradition of ornamental jewelry boxes through an exclusively curated art program.

As a tribute to the jewelry boxes historically serving as precious mementos in Chinese imperial and aristocratic culture, Jin Ting Wan transforms into a space showcasing the highest expression of heritage and art. A curated collection of artifacts, ceramics inspired by traditional Chinese forms, and specially made artworks will adorn the entire restaurant area, creating an atmosphere full of elegance and meaning.

In the true spirit of Cantonese cuisine, Jin Ting Wan will showcase the best seasonal ingredients, delicate flavors, and traditional cooking techniques passed down through generations. Guests can complement their dining experience with Chinese teas curated by Jin Ting Wan or choose from an exclusive collection of high-quality Chinese wines and rare vintages.

A conclusion to the dining experience, guests will be treated to a spectacular view from the 55th floor of Hotel Tower 1. Spanning the entire floor, this 166-seater restaurant will encompass two private dining rooms, two private dining suites, and a Chef's table for special events. The double panoramic view of the city and the sea will be essential to this luxurious dining experience, alongside the presented dishes.
