TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) or KAI noted that the operation of the LRT Jabodebek has served 677,020 users during the 11-day Christmas and New Year 2025 (Nataru) transportation period. This number exceeds the number of users during the previous 18-day Nataru transportation period, which reached 620,013 users.
LRT Jabodebek Public Relations Manager Mahendro Trang Bawono claimed that the increase of 57,007 users or 9 percent was due to the high public trust in the LRT Jabodebek as a mode of transportation.
"We greatly appreciate the support of the public who have used the LRT Jabodebek during the Christmas and New Year holidays. This trust is a great motivation for us to continue to improve our services so that the public can enjoy a safe, comfortable, and efficient journey," he said in an official statement, Monday, December 30, 2024.
During the period from 19 to 29 December 2024, Dukuh Atas BNI Station became the station with the highest number of users who Tap In. Mahendro noted that there were 115,609 users who Tap In at Dukuh Atas BNI Station during the period. "Followed by Harjamukti Station with 77,548 users, and Cikoko Station with 55,703 users," he said.
Then, for the number of users who Tap Out, Dukuh Atas BNI Station was also the highest with 113,107 users. Then followed by Harjamukti Station with 80,357 users, and West Bekasi Station with 55,038 users.
Overall, during the period, the average number of LRT Jabodebek users per day on weekdays reached 82,089 users, while on weekends the average was 44,429 users.
Mahendro appealed to the public to continue to use the LRT Jabodebek during this holiday period. He claimed that the LRT Jabodebek could be a fast, safe, and congestion-free travel solution. Moreover, according to him, this transportation is equipped with modern facilities, efficient travel time, and affordable rates.
"LRT Jabodebek is ready to support community mobility for various travel needs. We are committed to continuing to provide reliable and efficient transportation services for the community," he said.
