TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - State Secretary Minister Prasetyo Hadi requested law enforcement investigate alleged terror acts against an influencer who criticized the government. "We ask for a thorough investigation," said Prasetyo Hadi in Hambalang, Bogor, West Java, as reported by Antara on Tuesday, January 6, 2026.
Prasetyo conveyed the need for the alleged terror to be followed up on through an investigative process. However, he emphasized the importance of expressing criticism, input, and corrections toward government policies through established communication channels.
According to him, the government does not want any form of terrorism.
Criticism as Part of Democracy
Prasetyo views the issue as part of the process of maturing in democracy, where differences of opinion and criticism should be conveyed properly without pressure or intimidation.
"Let us then consider the issue as part of our maturity as a nation. This means that if there is something, it should be conveyed properly. There is no problem," he said.
President Prabowo, according to Prasetyo, also expressed concern about the alleged practice of terror.
"Of course (the President is concerned), how can such things still happen these days?" said Prasetyo.
Previously, the Jakarta Metro Police received a report regarding the terror experienced by an influencer named Ramon Dony Adam, known as DJ Donny, and stated they would soon investigate the case.
DJ Donny reported the terror that occurred at his home by unknown individuals on Monday, December 29, 2025, and in the early hours of Wednesday, December 31, 2025.
"So, yesterday I received terror, a dead chicken was sent to my house. Then, at 3:00 a.m., it was recorded on CCTV that someone threw a molotov cocktail at my house," said Donny at the Jakarta Metro Police on Wednesday, December 31, 2025.
According to him, the action not only harmed him but also threatened the security of his family and those around him.
In addition to these acts, he admitted to frequently receiving threats and harassment through phone calls and messages on social media.
"Many threatening phone calls, but I don't care. As for social media, it's normal, through DMs, I have no problems. I myself speak harshly, so there's no problem," Donny expressed.
Regarding the suspected perpetrators, he could not explain as it is the responsibility of law enforcement. He also claimed not to know the mastermind behind the terror.
