TEMPO.CO, Depok - In Sukatani Market, Tapos District, Depok, there are still MinyaKita cooking oil found to be not in accordance with the standard measure, sold above the highest retail price (HET), and even fake. This was revealed during a sudden inspection conducted by the Deputy Mayor of Depok, Chandra Rahmansyah, along with the Police Chief, Military Commanders, and the Depok Metrology Office on Thursday, March 13, 2025.
Chandra said the inspection was carried out due to public unrest and the polemic of MinyaKita not being in accordance with the required measure.
"From the inspection we conducted earlier, we also brought the Metrology Office to conduct measurements. Then we bought several samples of MinyaKita from the sellers here, and it turns out that we found two MinyaKita from two different producers that did not comply with the existing regulations," Chandra said.
Chandra explained the findings, namely that the first product did not comply with the provisions of Law Number 2 of 1981 regarding Metrology. "The size or volume is not stated there," Chandra said.
Secondly, said Chandra, when directly measured on site, from two different samples measured, it turns out that the measure did not reach 1 liter, namely 700 milliliters (mL) and 800 mL.
"There are 2 different producers, and from what we saw, their PT locations are in Tangerang and Bekasi," Chandra said.
The third fact found, said Chandra, apparently all MinyaKita are sold at the HET limit or at a price of Rp18,000-Rp19,000, even though it is listed at only Rp15,700 per liter.
"This is also a serious concern for us, so starting today, we will conduct market operations, coordinate with the heads of existing market UPTs to ensure that the price of MinyaKita is sold in accordance with the HET," Chandra said.
In addition, Chandra added, based on information from the Head of the Food and Drug Monitoring Agency (BPOM) Bogor, Jeffeta Pradeko Putra, the BPOM permit in the bottled oil is strongly suspected to be fake.
"And it may not only be in Sukatani Market, it could also be in other markets in Depok City. Therefore, after this, we will immediately coordinate with all market heads, the heads of the UPTs in Depok City," Chandra said.
These findings, said Chandra, will be followed up by the Police Chief and the evidence will be directly secured by the Depok Metro Police team.
Meanwhile, the Depok Metro Police Chief, Commissioner General Abdul Waras, confirmed that they will conduct an investigation according to the procedures.
"Yesterday it was followed up by the Criminal Investigation Division. These findings from earlier, conducted by the Deputy, the measurements will certainly be followed up according to the existing procedures," Abdul said.
