TEMPO.CO, Kupang - Indonesian National Police Headquarters has officially declared Ngada Police Chief AKBP Fajar Widyadharma Lukman Sumaatmadja a suspect in a case of sexual violence against minors.
While the designation was made by the Indonesian National Police Headquarters, the criminal case will generally be handled by the East Nusa Tenggara Regional Police.
The East Nusa Tenggara Regional Police Chief, Inspector General Daniel Tahi Monang Silitonga, said that his office is preparing further legal steps related to this case
"Currently, AKBP Fajar is still being examined at the Indonesian National Police HQ regarding the ethical code. After that, the general criminal case will be handled by investigators from the Criminal Investigation Directorate of East Nusa Tenggara Regional Police," said Police Chief Daniel on Friday, March 14, 2025.
The East Nusa Tenggara Regional Police is investigating the involvement of a woman with the initial 'F' who is suspected of being a provider of underage children for AKBP Fajar Widyadharma.
"We are investigating the allegation that a woman with the initial 'F' received a reward of Rp3 million from AKBP Fajar for providing underage children," said Daniel.
He will comprehensively evaluate the statements of witnesses to ensure that all evidence corresponds to the facts. In addition to the sexual violence case, AKBP Fajar is also suspected of involvement in a drug abuse case.
"Currently, AKBP Fajar's alleged involvement in the drug case is still under examination at the National Police HQ. We will investigate who the suppliers and providers of the goods are," said the Police Chief.
This case came to light after a pornographic video featuring AKBP Fajar surfaced on an Australian-based adult website.
The investigation has drawn public attention, with the East Nusa Tenggara Regional Police pledging to handle the case professionally, transparently, and responsibly to ensure justice for the victims.
