TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - PT Pelayaran Nasional Indonesia or Pelni (Persero) received a mandate from the Ministry of Transportation to run the Sea Toll program in the 2025 budget year. This was marked by the maiden voyage of the Logistik Nusantara 4 Motor Ship (KM Lognus 4) from Tanjung Priok Port, Jakarta, on Monday, January 6, 2025.

Director of Freight Transportation and Sea Toll Business of Pelni, Kokok Susanto, stated that the launch of KM Lognus 4 was a symbol of the continuation of the assignment of the Sea Toll program to Pelni. "We thank the government for this trust. We are committed to meeting the given voyage target in order to provide affordable and scheduled freight transportation," he said in a written statement on Monday, January 6, 2025.

KM Lognus 4 is a cargo ship with a capacity of 115 twenty-foot equivalent units (TEUs), which serves the T-2 route with the route: Tanjung Priok - Tanjung Uban - Letung - Tarempa - Selat Lampa - Subi - Serasan - Midai - Tanjung Uban - Tanjung Priok.

In 2025, Pelni will continue to operate eight Sea Toll routes with a total target of 118 voyages. Last year, Pelni achieved 120 voyages from the same number of routes. However, there are two ports that are no longer included in the 2025 Sea Toll route, namely Patimban Port and Kijang Port.

The number of voyages, according to him, can still be increased if ship operations support it. "This year we also received three additional new ports: Nunukan on route H-1, Tual on route T-24, and Tanjung Uban on route T-2. The total number of ports visited has increased to 33," said Kokok.

Details of the 2025 Sea Toll Routes
