TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The General Crime Investigation Directorate of the East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) Regional Police has revealed new evidence in the case of former Ngada Police Chief AKBP Fajar Widyadharma Lukman Sumaatmaja, who is accused of sexually abusing minors.
One key piece of evidence is a compact disc (CD) containing eight recordings of sexual violence allegedly committed by AKBP Fajar.
NTT Police's Director of Criminal Investigation, Patar Silalahi, stated that the investigation began following a report from the International Relations Division of the Indonesian National Police on January 22, 2025. At the time, authorities suspected a case of sexual misconduct involving minors within NTT Regional Police jurisdiction.
"Armed with the initial information, we traced and gathered information from several hotel staff. Then we found evidence of a hotel room reservation on June 11, 2024 in the name of the suspect," said Patar during a press conference at the National Police Headquarters in Jakarta on Thursday, March 13, 2025.
The Criminal Investigation Directorate of NTT Regional Police has gathered crucial evidence in the case against former Ngada Police Chief AKBP Fajar Widyadharma Lukman Sumaatmaja. The evidence includes surveillance footage, clothing believed to belong to the victim, and hotel reservation documents under the suspect’s name in Kupang.
Investigators also obtained a medical report confirming sexual abuse, along with a compact disc containing eight recordings of sexual violence allegedly committed by AKBP Fajar.
"The evidence includes a child's pink dress, a medical examination report, and a CD with eight videos of sexual violence," said NTT Regional Police's Director of Criminal Investigation, Patar Silalahi, as quoted by Antara.
Patar also explained that there are many articles that implicate the former Ngada Police Chief in cases of child molestation and pornography, starting from Law Number 12 of 20122 concerning Sexual Violence Crimes, and the ITE Law in conjunction with Articles 55 and 56 of the Criminal Code.
"Today, the suspect's interrogation has been conducted," said Patar.
Prior to this, the investigative team from the Criminal Investigation Directorate of NTT Regional Police revealed that there was one minor who became the victim of alleged assault by the suspect.
The victim, who is 6 years old, was ordered by the suspect through a woman identified as 'F'. After that, 'F' brought the victim to the hotel that had previously been reserved by Fajar.
During the investigation by NTT Regional Police at one of the hotels whose rooms had been reserved, it was proven that there was an identification card, namely a photocopy of the suspect's Driver's License (SIM).
"So it is undeniable, there is a photocopy of the SIM at the reception of one of the hotels, in the name of FWSL," said Patar in a press conference at NTT Regional Police on Tuesday afternoon, March 11, 2025.
