TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - President Prabowo Subianto officially inaugurated the Ngoerah Sun Wellness and Aesthetic Center at the Central General Hospital (RSUP) Prof. dr. I.G.N.G Ngoerah in Denpasar, Bali, on Wednesday, June 25, 2025. He remarked that the facility rivals similar centers abroad in terms of quality.
"It is a great achievement to be able to provide services that are not inferior to the best services abroad," said Prabowo in a video shared by the presidential media team on Wednesday.
The former Defense Minister noted that the center is equipped to deliver top-tier services to Indonesians and highlighted its appeal to international patients. "I also see that the facilities are extraordinary, and the technology is very advanced," he added.
Prabowo expressed hope that the center will contribute to the country’s economic growth.
"So that we don't spend a lot of our foreign exchange abroad. On the contrary, attract foreign exchange," he said.
During the event, Prabowo lightheartedly mentioned his interest in undergoing treatment at the facility.
"Who knows, I might secretly come here for my teeth, they do need some fixing," he joked.
Currently on a working visit to Bali, Prabowo is also scheduled to inaugurate the Sanur Special Economic Zone (KEK) and the Bali International Hospital (BIH).
According to Yusuf Permana, Deputy for Protocol, Press, and Media at the Presidential Secretariat, Prabowo’s agenda underscores the government's commitment to advancing the health and economic sectors. The visit also reinforces Bali’s role as a key location for the transformation of public services to meet international standards.
