The Presidential Secretariat's Press, Media, and Information Bureau reported that the Garuda Indonesia-1 aircraft carrying Prabowo arrived at Air Base Galeo, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, on Saturday morning, 5 July 2025, at around 06.30 local time.
Upon arrival at Air Base Galeo, President Prabowo was greeted with a military honor ceremony. As he walked across the red carpet after descending the aircraft stairs, the sound of trumpets and military honor from the honor guard accompanied the steps of the former defense minister.
At the end of the red carpet, Prabowo was welcomed by a line of high-ranking officials from Brazil, namely Ambassador Laudemar Gonalves de Aguiar Neto, Secretary for Trade, Science, Technology, Innovation, and Culture Promotion at the Brazilian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and Airforce Base Galeo Commander Colonel Marcell Barros de Paula.
