TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto is reported to be inaugurating Nugroho Sulistyo Budi and Pratama Dahlian Persadha as Head of the National Cyber and Crypto Agency (BSSN) and Deputy Head of BSSN on Wednesday afternoon, February 18, 2025.
Based on the flyer seen by Tempo, Head of BSSN Hinsa Siburian and his deputy Commissioner General of Police Rachmad Wibowo will hand over the positions to Nugroho and Pratama. Cybersecurity expert from the Indonesia Cyber Security Forum, Ardi Sutedja, confirmed that the flyer is an official agenda from BSSN.
"That's right (from BSSN)," said Ardi when contacted by Tempo, Wednesday, February 19, 2025.
Tempo attempted to confirm the inauguration of the BSSN leadership with BSSN spokesperson Ariandi Putra. However, Tempo's confirmation message has not been replied to.
Pratama Persadha has also not responded to the news of his inauguration this afternoon.
Prabowo will inaugurate several heads of institutions, including the Financial and Development Supervisory Agency (BPKP), the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) and the National Cyber and Crypto Agency (BSSN) on Wednesday afternoon, February 19, 2025.
When confirmed, Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya said that there would indeed be an inauguration of several officials this afternoon. "This afternoon there will be an inauguration of several officials," said Teddy in a written message, Wednesday, February 18, 2025.
Nugroho Sulistyo Budi had actually been appointed as the head of BSSN in the decision to transfer the TNI Commander in December 2024. At that time, he replaced Lieutenant General (ret.) Hinsa Siburian.
Before being inaugurated after being transferred about a month ago, this former member of the Mawar Team was transferred again because he was in retirement.
Nugroho's mutation is stated in the Decree of the TNI Commander Number Kep/7/I/2025 dated January 3, 2025 concerning Dismissal from and Appointment to Positions within the TNI. As a result, the position of Head of BSSN is vacant.
Meanwhile, Pratama is the Chair of the cybersecurity research institution Communication and Information System Security Research Center or CISSReC.
