TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - President Director of PT Sumatera Persada Energi Ramyadjie Priambodo sued the Special Task Force for Upstream Oil and Gas Business Activities (SKK Migas) regarding the remaining recovery costs of US$23.10 million or around Rp374 billion with an exchange rate of Rp16,220 per US dollar. The lawsuit for unlawful acts by the oil and gas exploration company has been registered with case number 1317/Pdt/G/2024/PN JKT.SEL at the South Jakarta District Court.
On the Case Tracking Information System (SIPP) website, Ramyadjie asked the panel of judges to declare that SKK Migas had acted unlawfully and to pay the remaining recovery costs of Rp374 billion. "In cash and in full," he said as quoted by the petitum in SIPP.
In addition, he also asked the panel to declare the collateral seizure or conservatoir beslag of the SKK Migas account at Bank Indonesia in the name of the Ministry of Finance Account/Oil Results Production Sharing Work Agreement with number 600.00041**** valid and valuable.
In addition to SKK Migas, Ramyadjie also included two companies as co-defendants. The two companies are PT Aserra Petrolindo Gemilang and PT SPR Langgak. "Sentencing Co-Defendant I and Co-Defendant II to submit and obey this decision," he said.
The first trial in this case is planned to be held on Monday, December 13, 2024 at 10:00 at the South Jakarta District Court. Tempo has contacted SKK Migas Head Djoko Siswanto and Program and Communication Analyst Suhendra Atmaja to request information on this lawsuit on Wednesday, January 1, 2025. Both have not responded to Tempo's message.
This is not the first case that SKK Migas has experienced. In 2019, SKK Migas was also declared at the Indonesian National Arbitration Board (BANI) for a lawsuit from the vendor of oil and gas lifting measuring instruments (flow meters), PT Global Haditech. Based on the decision, SKK Migas is estimated to have to pay a claim worth Rp39 billion.
Deputy Head of SKK Migas Fatar Yani Abdurrahman said that SKK Migas was asked to pay for the measuring instruments that had been installed. The ongoing project reached 68 percent. "Those that were not verified were ordered to be removed," he said on Thursday, September 12, 2019.
