TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - PT Astra International Tbk announced that John Raymond Witt, Commissioner, and Chiew Sin Cheok, Director, resigned on October 9, 2025. Astra International Corporate Secretary Gita Tiffani Boer stated that both were resigning due to retirement.

"The company has received their resignation letters," she said in a disclosure to the Indonesia Stock Exchange on Monday, October 13, 2025.

Furthermore, Gita stated that on the same date, the company received a resignation letter from Hsu Hai Yeh, Commissioner of the company, code-coded ASII. She explained that Hsu Hai's resignation was due to a routine personnel reorganization within the company.

In the first half of 2025, ASII realized capital expenditure (capex) of Rp8.8 trillion. In total, Astra plans capital expenditure for this year of Rp26 trillion.

Astra International's Vice President Director, Rudy, stated that the capital expenditure was primarily allocated to purchase heavy equipment needed for its mining contracting business.

"This is primarily used to purchase heavy equipment for the mining contractor business. We know that one of the largest capital expenditures is in the mining sector," he said in an online public presentation of Astra's performance on Wednesday, August 27, 2025.

In addition, the capital expenditure funds were used for replanting and maintenance activities at PT Astra Agro Lestari Tbk. They were also used to purchase production machinery at PT Astra Otoparts Tbk. "And for renovations and the purchase of new land for our branches in the automotive business," said Rudy.

Throughout the first six months of 2025, Astra's investment realization reached Rp3.3 trillion. Rudy mentioned that there are still several projects in Astra's current pipeline that will be realized in the second half of 2025. He declined to elaborate further, as he is waiting for them to reach a mature enough stage. "We will announce them once we have reached a stage that is mature enough to announce them," he said.
