1.  Indonesia Details Five-Step Approach to Reciprocal Tariff Talks with U.S.

Finance Minister Sri Mulyani Indrawati outlined five steps for Indonesia’s negotiations with the U.S., including adjustments to import quotas and TKDN requirements.

These measures address U.S. reciprocal tariffs. The first step refines tariff regulations on selected U.S. products. The second focuses on increasing imports of oil, gas, technology, and agricultural goods not produced domestically. The third step includes reforms in taxation and customs.

The fourth step adjusts non-tariff measures, including TKDN, import quotas, and deregulation of technical regulations.

Sri also announced swift import trade remedies to protect domestic industries from unfair trade practices, in line with WTO rules.
