2. Prabowo Invites Indian Entrepreneurs to Invest in Indonesia
TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - President Prabowo Subianto would like to invite Indian entrepreneurs to invest in Indonesia during his first official visit to the friendly nation on India's 76th Republic Day on January 26, 2025. During the visit, he is scheduled to meet with several Indian business leaders.
"I will meet with industry leaders and entrepreneurs from India who are interested in investing in Indonesia," said Prabowo before departing for India at Halim Perdanakusuma Air Base, East Jakarta, on Thursday, January 23, 2025.
Prabowo is accompanied by representatives from the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin) to meet some Indian entrepreneurs.
3. State Secretary Confirms School Zoning System to Remain in School Admissions
TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - State Secretary Prasetyo Hadi has confirmed that the school zoning system will not be eliminated from the New Student Admissions (PPDB) process under President Prabowo Subianto's administration.
“No, [the zoning system] will not be eliminated. A combination of systems will be considered. We are looking for the best because each system has its own advantages and disadvantages,” said Prasetyo at Halim Perdanakusuma Air Force Base in East Jakarta on Thursday, January 23, 2025.
Prasetyo indicated that the final decision regarding the PPDB system will be made after President Prabowo returns from his visit to India. A follow-up meeting will be held to determine the most suitable approach for accepting new students.
