TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - PT Transjakarta diverted several operational routes for their buses after heavy rain caused flooding on several roads in Jakarta on Sunday morning, March 8, 2026. Ayu Wardhani, Head of Transjakarta's Public Relations and CSR Department, stated that adjustments had been made to 17 routes affected by the flooding.
Ayu explained that five BRT routes were adjusted. These include Corridor 2A (Pulogadung 1-Rawa Buaya), with the route shortened to Damai due to flooding in Corridor 3, Pulo Nangka.
Furthermore, Corridor 3 (Kalideres-Monas), was shortened to Damai-Monas in both directions due to flooding and collapsed road dividers.
"Corridor 6 (Ragunan-Galunggung) was diverted due to flooding around the Mampang Underpass," Ayu said in a written statement on Sunday, March 8, 2026.
On Corridor 9 (Pinang Ranti-Pluit), Transjakarta diverted the route via the Slipi 1 Toll Road due to flooding exceeding 30 cm after the Grogol Bus Stop. Furthermore, the BRT Corridor 13E (Puribeta-Kuningan) was diverted via the overhead lane due to flooding at the Mampang Underpass.
In addition to BRT services, Transjakarta also diverted 10 routes for its Mikrotrans service. Transjakarta temporarily suspended operations on routes JAK.04 (Grogol-Jembatan Dua) and JAK.30 (Meruya-Citraland) due to flooding at crucial points along the route.
"Then, Transjakarta shortened the JAK.85 route (Bintara-Cipinang Indah) due to 25-35 cm of flooding on Jalan Komplek Cipinang Indah II," said Ayu.
Lane diversions were implemented on routes JAK.108 (Kramat Jati-Bambu Apus), JAK.37 (Cililitan-Condet), JAK.53 (Grogol-Pos Pengumben), JAK.71 (Kampung Rambutan-Pinang Ranti), JAK.75 (Kampung Pulo-Cililitan), JAK.78A (Benda-Penjaringan), and JAK.93 (Jeruk Purut-Kebayoran Lama).
Transjakarta also diverted two routes for integrated and non-BRT public transportation services: the integrated public transportation route 1C (Blok M-Pesanggrahan) due to 50 cm of flooding on Jalan Ciledug Raya. The non-BRT route 3E (Sentraland Cengkareng-Puri Kembangan) has also temporarily halted operations due to flooding at Simpang Kapuk.
"Transjakarta apologizes for the inconvenience experienced by all customers. We urge customers to remain cautious and adjust their travel schedules by regularly monitoring route developments," said Ayu.
