TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The annual general meeting of shareholders of Perusahaan Listrik Negara (PLN), on the evening of Thursday, June 18, 2026, approved changes to seven director positions. At the meeting, held at the Office of the State-Owned Enterprises Regulatory Agency, shareholders also agreed to create a new position—deputy chief executive officer—to be filled by PLN Legal and Human Capital Management Director Yusuf Didi Setiarto. One position remained unchanged: Darmawan Prasodjo retained his post as CEO.
PLN Executive Vice President for Corporate Communications Gregorius Adi Trianto said the management reshuffle was part of efforts to strengthen the company's corporate governance. "And to support the continuation of PLN's transformation," he said after the meeting.
Several days before the shareholders meeting, however, a list of prospective PLN directors containing several new names had already begun circulating. State-Owned Enterprises Regulatory Agency Chief Dony Oskaria denied the authenticity of the leaked list. "The shareholders meeting hasn't happened yet," he said at the parliamentary complex in Senayan, Jakarta, on Monday, June 8, 2026. After the meeting, several of the names and director positions turned out to match the leaked list, while others differed.
The rumors emerged after a number of regions experienced rolling blackouts during the first through third weeks of June. On Tuesday, June 9, for example, three regencies in Central Java—Wonogiri, Sukoharjo, and Karanganyar—experienced power outages lasting three hours. In East Java, blackouts affected parts of Gresik and Malang Regency. Meanwhile, in West Java, electricity was cut for several days in parts of Bekasi, Bogor, and Depok.
