An NFL quarterback who's launched production companies and clothing brands while investing in everything from real estate to pro soccer, Russell Wilson has somehow stumbled upon yet another side gig.

'What's up guys? Russell Wilson here,' the 36-year-old New York Giants backup said in a video for Cameo, a website offering customers personalized video and audio greetings from a variety of celebrities.

'I'm super, super excited about doing something I've wanted to do for years, and you guys have been asking for it,' Wilson continued. 'Inspirational videos about faith, life, sports, anything you guys need, coming your way, unlimited videos on Cameo. Let's go.'

More details on Wilson's Cameo offerings are contained on his homepage, where personalized videos are selling for $333.

'Whether it's a milestone birthday, an anniversary, or a long-awaited reunion, make it unforgettable with a one-of-a-kind Cameo video from Russell Wilson,' read a summary from Cameo. 'You'll have the chance to customize your request for Russell Wilson, like asking them to mention inside jokes, share words of wisdom, or work in their signature catchphrases.

'Don't be afraid to get creative with your request, especially for celebrations like weddings, retirements, or bachelor and bachelorette parties that call for a good laugh. No matter the occasion, the video will be yours to keep - share the fun and relive the moment for years to come.'

Wilson hopes to inspire younger generations with his videos, some of which will focus on faith

A former Super Bowl winner with the Seattle Seahawks, Wilson is earning $10.5 million this season and will surpass $315 million in career earnings by the end of 2025.

What's more, he and his R&B singer wife, Ciara, previously launched a fashion label, 3BRAND, which recorded $100 million in sales last year alone, according to Forbes

So why is Wilson bothering with Cameo?

Predictably, there is a charity angle.

As with his 3BRAND, 3 percent of all sales on Cameo will towards Wilson's Why Not You Foundation, which aims to address poverty, education inequality and a number of other issues. The foundation recently announced a $21 million pledge to support New York-area youth STEM programs, mental health resources, and scholarships.

And while 3 percent amounts to $9.99 for charity per purchase, Wilson is also hoping to inspire younger generations with his videos, according to a spokesperson.

'Russ continues to be focused on inspirational and motivational content for his fans, but most importantly for youth,' the spokesperson told Daily Mail in a statement. '3Brand, which is his youth kids brand, is wildly successful and is also centered around inspiring the next generation to dream big and have a "Why Not You" attitude. Cameo is yet another way for Russ to give back, connect and inspire.'

The first review on Wilson's videos was unwaveringly positive.

'This was the best Cameo I've ever received!!!' read a response from one satisfied customer. 'Thank you Russell for taking my friends joy so seriously, you're the best!'

In fact, of his first seven customers, five responded by giving the decorated quarterback five stars.

Wilson does have a bit more free time on his hands than he'd expected when he first signed with the Giants over the off-season. After starting the team's first three games of the season – all losses – Wilson was benched in favor of Dart, who has gone 2-4, including an impressive upset of the defending-champion Philadelphia Eagles.

Despite his demotion, Wilson has continued in his veteran leadership position in the Giants' locker room, and is regularly seen greeting each and every teammate as they run onto the field at MetLife Stadium.

Wilson and fellow backup Jameis Winston have both mentored Dart this season, as he recently explained to reporters.

'Russ might reach a little bit of, like, [uncle] status a little bit,' Dart joked. 'But they're both my big brothers out there. The wisdom they shed off of me has been huge.

'They've done it for a long time, and they've succeeded at the highest level. I’m in a very unique situation to have those guys, and we have great relationships off the field too. So, really just blessed and grateful to have those guys in the room.'
