TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The 2025 President's Cup will be held with a new format from July 6 to 14, 2025. Six clubs, two of which are from overseas, will participate in the pre-season tournament.
The six clubs are Persib Bandung (champion of Liga 1 2024-2025), Dewa United (runner-up of Liga 1 2024-2025), Arema FC (champion of the President's Cup 2024), Liga Indonesia All Star, as well as Port FC (from the Thai League) and Oxford United (from the second-tier of the English League).
Marselino and Ole, who play for Oxford United, are part of Group A along with Arema FC and Liga Indonesia All Star. While Port FC, represented by Asnawi, will meet Persib Bandung and Dewa United in Group B.
The tournament will feature exciting matches, including the reunion of Persib and Port FC who previously competed in the AFC Champions League two seasons ago. Other matches will showcase a duel between the duo of the Indonesian national team, Asnawi Mangkualam and the newcomer at Persib, Saddil Ramdani.
The 2025 President's Cup will be held at two venues. The Gelora Bung Karno Main Stadium in Jakarta will host the opening match between Liga Indonesia All Star and Oxford United, while the rest of the matches will take place at Si Jalak Harupat Stadium in Bandung Regency.
