TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Corporate Communication of PT Pembangunan Jaya Ancol Tbk. (Ancol) Ariyadi Eko Nugroho said that the number of visitors that went to the recreation area of Taman Impian Jaya Ancol area until 12:00 WIB (Western Indonesian Time) on December 25, 2025, or coinciding with the Christmas celebration, reached 20,300 people.
In addition, it was recorded that there were 10,700 vehicles entering the area, consisting of 6,000 cars and 4,700 motorbikes. "This afternoon there were almost 30,000 (visitors)," he told Tempo, Wednesday, December 25, 2024.
Ariyadi also revealed the number of visitors to Taman Impian Jaya Ancol in the three days leading up to Christmas. On December 22, 2024, it was recorded as many as 26,000 people, then increased to 30,000 visitors on December 23, and decreased to 17,000 visitors on December 24.
Ariyadi said that for this year's Christmas moment, PT Pembangunan Jaya Ancol Tbk projects an increase in the number of visitors to occur today, December 25, and tomorrow, December 26, 2025. In addition, he also predicted that the peak density of visitors would occur on December 31, 2024 and January 1, 2025, coinciding with the New Year celebrations.
Ancol also presents several programs launched for the Christmas and New Year (Nataru) holiday period. At Dufan theme park (Dunia Fantasi / Fantasy World), for example, there is a Robot Parade featuring Robot Spot from Boston Dynamics and also the Humanoid Robot H1 from Unitree which will combine with Dufan's parade dancers.
"Visitors can watch this attraction every day at 15:30 WIB," said Ariyadi.
In addition, Dufan also presents the Wonderful Holiday with Simon & Friends Show program which can be enjoyed every day at 13:00 WIB in the Dufan Indoor Area until January 12, 2025. There is also the Dinoland Show, a dinosaur adventure show at 14:00 WIB until January 5, 2025.
For Sea World Ancol, Ariyadi said, there is Santa Claus Under Water who will feed thousands of fish in the main aquarium of Sea World Ancol. This show takes place from 24 to 29 December 2024, every 11:00 and 14:00 WIB. In addition, Sea World also introduced its newest collection, namely the Japanese Spider Crab, one of the largest crab species in the world, and the Leopard Shark, which is known as one of the most beautiful sharks.
"Children can also watch exciting magic shows or do face painting for free," he said.
Furthermore, there are also programs for the Nataru holiday at Atlantis Ancol, Samudra Ancol, Jakarta Bird Land Ancol, and New Year's Eve Celebrations. Ariyadi said that he will present a special music stage for Gempita 2025 at Carnaval Beach. Performing top Indonesian musicians, namely Ari Lasso, Jamrud, Kangen Band, The Virgin, Ana Zanet, Jamila, Selvi Aprilia, and will be hosted by Ben Kasyafani and Celline Evangelista.
"The fireworks party will be back to decorate the sky of Ancol Beach. Located at Lagoon Beach, Ancol will again present the spectacular Musical Fireworks right at midnight. Before that, visitors will be entertained by performances from Voice of Baceprot and Fakedopp," he said.
