San Francisco 49ers quarterback Brock Purdy faces a race against time to be healthy for the New Orleans Saints game on Sunday.
He sustained two injuries in the Week One win over Seattle Seahawks, to his left shoulder and toe and as it stands, his availabilty is uncertain.
If he isn't able to take to the field at Caesers Superdome, Mac Jones will take his place for the game in Louisiana.
And the concerning news doesn't stop there for the 49ers.
Tight end George Kittle left Sunday's game early because of a hamstring issue which the organization believes will keep him out for up to five weeks.
There is a chance that Kittle, one of the best tight ends in the league, could return in around three weeks.

The injury concerns have been piling up for the 49ers already this season. Christian McCaffrey played in Week One but headed into the game with a calf issue that, given his injury history, will be a worry for the weeks to come.
Wide receiver Jauan Jennings is also having a CT scan on a shoulder issue, too. That said, the belief is that he has avoided significant damage.
Kyle Shanahan's team had to grind out victory in Week One, overcoming the Seahawks with a narrow and hard fought 17-13 triumph.
