TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto returned to Indonesia on Saturday afternoon, January 24, 2026. Prabowo landed at Halim Perdanakusuma Airport in Jakarta, after completing a three-country visit over the past week.
According to a statement shared by Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya via his Instagram account, Prabowo was greeted by Minister of State Secretary Prasetyo Hadi, Indonesian National Armed Forces Commander General Agus Subiyanto, Indonesian National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo, State Intelligence Agency Chief Muhammad Herindra, and Chief Personal Secretary Rizky Irmansyah.
"Closing his five-day overseas visit, the President brought home several concrete results," Teddy wrote in a caption on his Instagram account @sekretariat.kabinet on Saturday, January 24, 2026.
According to Teddy, there were at least six achievements during Prabowo's visit to England, Switzerland, and France. First, an investment commitment of £4 billion, or approximately Rp90 trillion, from the UK.
Second, the construction of 1,582 fishing vessels to be manufactured domestically, absorbing a workforce of up to 600,000 people.
Third, educational cooperation with 24 top universities in the UK, particularly in the fields of medicine and Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics.
Fourth, Prabowo's visit to Switzerland resulted in Indonesia joining the Peace Council initiated by United States President Donald Trump. "This is a concrete step by Indonesia in achieving peace in Gaza, which is already significant in conflict resolution," said Teddy.
Fifth, Prabowo presented his economic concept of 'Prabowonomics' at the 2026 World Economic Forum Annual Meeting in Davos, Switzerland. Teddy stated that the forum was attended by 65 heads of state and 1,000 leaders of major global companies.
Sixth, Prabowo's visit to France is claimed to have resulted in increased tangible cooperation with the French government in various strategic sectors.
Previously, Prabowo Subianto departed for London, England, from Halim Perdanakusuma Air Force Base, East Jakarta, on Sunday, January 18, 2026. In England, Prabowo met with King Charles III, British Prime Minister Keir Starmer, and leaders of top British universities.
After leaving England, Prabowo continued his visit to Switzerland. He delivered a special address at the World Economic Forum on Thursday, January 22, 2026. On the sidelines of the forum, Prabowo attended the launch of the Peace Council.
Then, Prabowo flew to France to accept a dinner invitation with French President Emmanuel Macron at the Élysée Palace on Friday, January 23, 2026, local time.
