Steelers star Aaron Rodgers has revealed the text message which he sent to teammate Broderick Jones after they clashed over a botched touchdown celebration.
In the fourth quarter of last week's loss to the Bengals, Jones went viral after 41-year-old Rodgers rolled back the years with a touchdown pass to Pat Freiermuth.
The score gave Pittsburgh a 31-30 lead with just 2:21 remaining in the thrilling game, prompting Rodgers to pull out his trademark arm-pump celebration.
But Rodgers' joy soon turned to anger after Jones, a 6ft 5ins offensive tackle, jumped on the veteran's back and sent him crashing to the turf in Cincinnati.
The 41-year-old did not see the funny side and looked furious at the time - however he's since revealed the light-hearted text message he sent to Jones after the game.
Speaking to reporters on Wednesday, he said: 'Brod is always the first one to come find me after a play. It could be like first big pass down to DK on third down, he's coming and dapping me up.

“The only tackle I had the other night was Broderick.”
Aaron Rodgers said Jones is the first guy to celebrate with him after every big play and he loves his energy. but as he texted Jones, “I love everything you’re about, but also, I’m 41 — You can’t be tackling me like that.” pic.twitter.com/44eYhUUxRF
'I text him, 'Hey man, I love your energy. I love everything you're about, but also, I'm 41. Okay? You can't be out there tackling me like that.'
'But I love Brod. We had a couple laughs about it, and you know, I told him I'm getting him next. He better watch his back.'
Jones, meanwhile, addressed the incident shortly after the game. He said: 'We shall see on Sunday, after he throws another touchdown, I might tackle him again.'
The 24-year-old was asked whether Rodgers has given him any more stick over the tackle.
He laughed and said: 'Yeah we're still joking about it. He was a little mad. But it's alright, it's football, it gets intense.
'But there is no love lost - it's just the energy that he brings and that I bring. He told me don't lose the fire and I told him the same.'
Just days before the incident, Rodgers had paid tribute to Jones' 'energy', speaking about him to reporters after practice.
'I got a lot of confidence in him,' he said of Jones. 'I really enjoy his energy. Sometimes I try to kick him in the a** a little bit in practice to get him going, but I like his positivity. He's always the first one to come celebrate with me on the field, I appreciate that.'
The 41-year-old reacted furiously to the botched celebration, shoving his Steelers teammate
The following night, Rodgers and his Pittsburgh Steelers teammates enjoyed a boys' night out as they watched the city's NHL team in action.
The 41-year-old looked to have moved on from Thursday night's defeat by the Cincinnati Bengals and was all smiles as the Pittsburgh Penguins took to the ice.
Rodgers and some past and present Steelers players took part in the traditional pre-game rally cry before watching the Penguins dominate the Vancouver Canucks 5-1.
They were also seen in a suite during the game, celebrating goals and sharing jokes among themselves. The group then posed for pictures with fans afterwards.
