TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - ENERGY and Mineral Resources Minister Bahlil Lahadalia once again asserted that Indonesia’s fuel and liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) stocks remain secure, even as an energy crisis grips much of the world amid conflict in the Middle East. He said the share of crude oil imports from Gulf countries accounts for only about 20 percent, as does LPG.
On the third day of his trip accompanying President Prabowo Subianto on visits to Japan and South Korea, Bahlil claimed he had secured alternative supplies from other countries. “Thank God, we’ve got them. There’s no need for any doubt anymore,” he said during a virtual press conference with several Red and White Cabinet ministers on Tuesday night, March 31, 2026.
