TEMPO.CO, Jakarta Iranian Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi sent Eid al-Fitr greetings for 1447 H to the Muslim community in Southeast Asia, including Indonesia.

"Happy Eid al-Fitr," Foreign Minister Araghchi wrote in a post on X on Sunday, cited Antara.

The foreign minister also appreciated the support and solidarity of Southeast Asian countries, especially Indonesia, Malaysia, and Brunei Darussalam, for condemning the United States' and the Zionists' brutal aggression.

"Thank you to the Muslim governments and communities, as well as those who love justice in Southeast Asia (Indonesia, Malaysia, and Brunei) who condemned the brutal aggression by the United States and the Zionist regime against the Muslim nation of Iran during the month of Ramadan and showed solidarity," he said.

Ambassador Mohammad Boroujerdi of the Islamic Republic of Iran previously expressed his appreciation to the Indonesian government and people for their solidarity, support, and concern for the Iranian people.

"We express our deep appreciation to the Indonesian government and all Indonesian people for their solidarity, support, and concern for the Iranian people," Boroujerdi said in a video message posted on his official social media accounts on Wednesday, March 18.

He said that the Indonesian people had shown their support in various ways. They sent hundreds of wreaths and letters and came directly to the Iranian Embassy in Jakarta to express their condolences and condemn the U.S.-Israeli attack.

"Hopefully, the spirit of humanity, brotherhood, and solidarity between Indonesia and Iran will remain strong and grow," he said.
