TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Bangkok will have yet another tourist attraction for history enthusiasts. The capital of Thailand will be home to the first Jurassic World: The Experience in Southeast Asia. This new tourist attraction is scheduled to open in the second quarter of 2025.
This ambitious project is a collaboration between Asset World Corp Public Company Limited, NEON, and Universal Live Events & Location-Based Entertainment. Its construction is supported by an investment of 1.2 billion THB or around Rp578.6 billion approved by the Thailand Board of Investment (BOI).
Located in a Mall
Covering an area of over 4,000 square meters, this dinosaur park will be located at Asiatique The Riverfront, an open-air mall on the Chao Phraya River. Visitors will experience different zones offered, including themed zones, restaurants, shops, and a prominent replica of giant dinosaur eggs.
The dinosaurs are created with advanced animatronics, appearing lifelike and capable of computer-controlled movements and 3D design. Visitors are promised to meet realistic robotic replicas.
Main Tourist Attraction in Bangkok
Inspired by the highly successful film franchise from Universal Pictures and Amblin Entertainment, Jurassic World: The Experience will become the main tourist attraction in the city. This new experience is expected to strengthen Bangkok's position as a world-class entertainment center and tourist destination, offering a unique and exciting experience for families, couples, friends, and solo travelers.
The significant investment in Jurassic World: The Experience signifies a shift towards deeper and technology-based tourist attractions in Thailand. As consumer demand for unique experiences increases, the tourism sector is likely to see an emphasis on attractions that blend entertainment with innovation.
