TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Indonesian Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) predicts that rain accompanied by thunder and strong winds will hit parts of Bogor Regency and all of Tangerang in the afternoon and evening today, Tuesday, March 24, 2026. Outside these areas, the weather throughout Jakarta and its surrounding cities is likely to be mostly clear and cloudy.
Referring to the latest weather forecast by BMKG, the weather in almost all Jabodetabek (Greater Jakarta) areas has been cloudy, with some areas experiencing thick cloud cover since last Monday night until early this morning. There was light to moderate rain in some areas of Bogor and Tangerang.
The weather has gradually become clearer towards Tuesday morning. As of 07:00 AM WIB (Western Indonesian Time), there is still a potential for light rain in some parts of the Thousand Islands. Meanwhile, from morning to midday, the weather throughout Jabodetabek is generally clear and cloudy, with some areas experiencing thick cloud cover. The air humidity levels in this metropolitan area range from 60 to 94 percent.
By late afternoon at 07:00 PM WIB, the majority of Jakarta and its surrounding areas will still be cloudy. Light rain will start to fall in Bogor Regency, as well as in Tangerang Regency and City. The highest air temperature in Jabodetabek today could reach 33 degrees Celsius, while the lowest will be 24 degrees Celsius. Only the Bogor area will have slightly lower temperatures, ranging from 20-28 degrees Celsius.
