TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) predicts that several regions in Greater Jakarta (Jakarta, Bogor, Depok, Tangerang, and Bekasi) will be drenched with heavy rain, even with thunder, today, Thursday, February 6, 2025. Jakarta is likely to be showered with rain from noon to the afternoon, but the weather in Bogor, Depok, Tangerang, and Bekasi will be wetter.
Referring to the weather forecast uploaded by BMKG on its official website and social media, Bogor City in West Java will be drenched with rain, both light rain and accompanied by thunder from 7:00 a.m. local time until midnight. The temperature in this area is 21-32 degrees Celsius with an average wind speed of 8 kilometers per hour. The wind in Bogor Regency is predicted to be stronger, reaching an average of 14 kilometers per hour.
Depok City will also be showered with rain from Thursday morning until the evening. The temperature is around 22-32 degrees Celsius. Dominant rainy conditions are also detected in Bekasi City, even with the same duration, and the daily temperature forecast is 23-31 degrees Celsius.
The BMKG team predicts that Bekasi Regency will also experience varying intensities of rain, including those accompanied by thunder, from 7:00 a.m. local time until midnight. The wind speed around Bekasi Regency is very high, reaching an average of 22 kilometers per hour.
Meanwhile, Tangerang City and Regency will be mostly cloudy throughout the day. The temperature is around 24 to 25 degrees Celsius, and the air humidity ranges from 90 to 96 percent. BMKG also detected the potential of haze in South Tangerang today. The temperature in South Tangerang will not exceed 23-35 degrees Celsius, with high air humidity levels, namely 91-97 percent.
