TEMPO.COJakarta - Indonesia's Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) predicts that the Jakarta, Bogor, Depok, Tangerang, and Bekasi areas will be predominantly cloudy with the possibility of rain today on Sunday, October 26, 2025. The potential for rain is present across all regions.

In the Jakarta area, the potential for rain today is predicted to have a light intensity on average. Only South Jakarta is forecasted by BMKG to have the potential for moderate intensity rain today. In some areas, rain may be accompanied by thunder.

In the surrounding Jakarta area, BMKG also predicts that the rain today will have light intensity in many areas. Moderate rain is predicted to fall in the area of South Tangerang. On average, the chance of rain is expected from midday until the evening.

BMKG stated that the hot weather conditions in several regions of Indonesia have started to decrease over the past few days compared to the previous week. Extremely heavy rain has been reported in several areas, including Jakarta from Wednesday morning to Thursday morning, which recorded 141.4 mm of rainfall.

Entering the last week of October, BMKG predicts that several regions of Indonesia will begin to enter the rainy season, especially in the southern equatorial parts such as Java, Bali, Nusa Tenggara, as well as parts of Kalimantan and southern Sulawesi.

"At the beginning of the rainy season, it is generally marked by still sunny days and uneven rain in the afternoon or evening, as well as changes in wind patterns and increased air humidity," as stated in the BMKG Weather Outlook for the Period of October 24-30.
