TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Indonesian Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) has warned residents of Jakarta and its surrounding areas to be cautious of the potential for rain accompanied by lightning on Thursday afternoon to evening, December 11, 2025. With air humidity of 68-94 percent, today's weather tends to be overcast with heavy rain.
Based on BMKG's 24-hour weather forecast, the overcast weather is expected to start in most areas of Jakarta and its surrounding areas, precisely from 01:00 to 07:00 AM WIB (Western Indonesian Time). There is only a potential for light rain in parts of the Thousand Islands and Bekasi Regency.
Then, until 01:00 PM WIB, the weather will gradually turn heavily overcast with the potential for light rain in some areas of the Thousand Islands. Meanwhile, moderate rain is expected to fall in some areas of Bekasi City, as well as the regencies and cities of Bogor.
By 07:00 PM WIB, light rain is potentially going to occur in some areas of West Jakarta, South Jakarta, Tangerang City and Regency, South Tangerang City, Depok City, and Bekasi City. Meanwhile, moderate rain potential is in some areas of East Jakarta, Bekasi Regency, and the cities and regencies of Bogor. Be cautious of rain accompanied by strong winds in some parts of East Jakarta, South Jakarta, Bekasi City and Regency, Depok City, South Tangerang City, as well as the cities and regencies of Bogor.
The air temperature in the Greater Jakarta (Jadetabek) area today ranges from 24-28 degrees Celsius, while the temperature in Bogor City and Regency is lower, ranging from 18-30 degrees Celsius.
