Boston Celtics commentator makes savage on-air joke about star player Jaylen Brown's hairline

Celtics commentator Drew Carter made a savage joke about Jaylen Brown's hairline on Wednesday following the All-Star's embarrassing moment last week.

While facing the Knicks on Friday, Brown went viral after he rubbed what appeared to be a spray-on hair product or dye on OG Anunoby, after leaning his head against the Knicks defender.

A clear black mark was left on the Knicks star's white jersey, with Brown later announcing a haircut Twitch stream and saying that he was 'cooked.'

On Wednesday, Carter had some fun with Brown's admission after he span and banked in a layup against the Cavaliers. 

'Went flying to the basket like he'll be flying to Turkey at some point this season,' Carter cracked, referencing the country's well-known hair transplants.

'Oh, come on,' color commentator Brian Scalabrine playfully retorted.

During the previous Twitch stream, Brown left a voicemail with the similarly follically challenged LeBron James.

'Code Red. They caught me slippin',' Brown said. 'I need to know, Turkey or no Turkey? And I ain't talking no cheese sandwich.'

Brown also blamed his hair troubles on his time in Boston, where he's spent all 10 of his NBA seasons since they drafted him in 2016. 

'I blame Boston. Ten years of stress, the media, the championships. Y'all caused this,' he joked.

The four-time All-Star certainly has more responsibility to shoulder this season with Jayson Tatum out due a ruptured Achilles.

Through five games thus far, Brown is averaging a career-high 26.8 points, with his career-high 6.6 free throw attempts also a career-high thus far.

Without Tatum, the Celtics have gotten off to a 2-3 start, and blew out the Cavs 125-105 on Wednesday.

Boston will face the Raptors next on Friday.
