There are three former Reds in the Brentford team today, with one more on the bench.

Was there any ever real doubt?

Salah is back in after being dropped in midweek. Florian Wirtz starts too, seemingly in the No 10 role.

No Ryan Gravenberch or Alexander Isak in the squad.

Brentford starting to settle

By Lewis Browning

Many had worried about Brentford this season following the departure of Thomas Frank - admittedly, myself included.

But they are starting to hit their stride a little bit now, with Keith Andrews doing a fine job. They picked up their first away win of the season on Monday, beating West Ham, and looked pretty decent.

They are 15th going into today's game. It sounds worse than it is, to be honest, and they have a favourable run of games coming up.

A win today would be Andrews' biggest victory yet by miles.

Premier League action continues!

Good afternoon one and all and welcome to Daily Mail Sport's live coverage of Brentford vs Liverpool in the Premier League.

It's a late one tonight! This would have been the early kick off today, but, due to Liverpool's Champions League involvement in midweek, it's tonight instead.

It's an important one, too, with the Reds looking to bounce back from three league defeats in a row.

A must-win? Maybe too early to say that. But it's as close as you can get, for my money.
