Brooklyn Beckham insists he is not concerned by the 'rubbish' people talk about his estrangement from his family as he revealed he will miss Inter Miami's game in New York on Wednesday.

The 26-year-old, the eldest son of David and Victoria Beckham, was among the celebrities to take part in the Ryder Cup All-Star match between A-Listers from Europe and the USA at Bethpage Black.

On Wednesday night, Inter Miami - the team co-owned by his father - will take on New York City FC around an hour west of Bethpage Black. It is not clear if David will be at the game.

But Brooklyn told the Daily Mail he is heading back to Los Angeles after finishing his round. It comes amid ongoing rumors of a feud with his parents.

The Beckhams are said to no longer be on speaking terms with Brooklyn and his wife, American actress Nicola Peltz. The couple recently renewed their vows without inviting them.

Brooklyn and his family were last pictured together on Boxing Day last year. He does not appear to have spent any time with them since.

Brooklyn is rumored to have been in a long-running feud with his family since late last year

The 26-year-old continued to ignore family milestones last week, failing to join in with an outpouring of tributes to his brother Romeo, who was celebrating his 23rd birthday.

In an interview with the Daily Mail, Brooklyn was asked how he copes with all the talk about his family and his private life.

'There's always going to be people saying negative things but I have a very supportive wife,' he said. 'Me and her, we just do our thing, we just keep our heads down and work. And we're happy.'

The 26-year-old said he 'never' worries about what people say or write about his personal life.

'Everyone is always going to say rubbish. I just try and do this, play some golf with some friends. It's good fun,' he said.

Beckham teamed up with former NBA star Toni Kukoc to take on comedian Colin Jost and legendary NFL quarterback Eli Manning.

Team Europe was heavily beaten, with Beckham claiming he copped some abuse from the American crowd. 'I feel like they didn't like me at all - but it was amazing,' he said.

'They gave me a bit of rubbish but I kind of expected it - being in New York, going against Eli... they were just laughing. But it was it is, I was having fun out there. I did the best I could. It was honestly just really fun.'

Beckham, who claims to have only been playing golf for a number of weeks, added: 'Honestly, it was really nerve-wracking... but it was such a cool experience - I couldn't say no. It was amazing.'

Brooklyn worked as a model and a photographer before setting up a hot sauce line 'Cloud 23.'

His father wore No 23 while playing for Real Madrid and LA Galaxy. But Brooklyn isn't sticking around for Inter Miami's game or this week's Ryder Cup.

'I have to go back (to Los Angeles),' he said. 'I left my wife with our four dogs on her own so I have to go back and help out and get back to work.'
