WNBA star Caitlin Clark was seen holding back tears after suffering yet another injury setback during the Indiana Fever's latest win on Tuesday.

Despite beating the Sun 85-77, the night didn't end well for the Fever guard as she appeared to re-aggravate a groin injury she'd only just recently recovered from.

Clark missed four games due to the ailment - bringing her total tally for missed games this season up to ten - before returning to the team four days ago.

The Fever are scheduled to play defending WNBA champions, the New York Liberty, on Wednesday night and an update on Clark's condition is expected soon.

Clark is also scheduled to play in Saturday's WNBA All-Star game and take part in the 3-point shooting contest. It remains unclear whether she'll be fit to feature on the day.

Indiana coach Stephanie White later claimed they will take it 'one step at a time' as they evaluate the severity of Clark's latest setback.

The 23-year-old phenom appeared visibly upset as she hobbled to the bench

According to ESPN, she explained: 'I think we just take it one step at a time. We'll get some food and get on the plane and start talking about New York.

'She's being evaluated; we'll see where we are with that. And certainly, we'll have another evaluation, probably, and conversation in the morning, see where we are. But this group has played without her. At least we've got experience in that.

'We know that we have a tough opponent in New York. We know that it's going to be a challenge, no matter what, and we've just got to get locked in and ready to compete.'

At the end of the Sun game on Tuesday night, Clark made a pass to teammate Kelsey Mitchell before injuring herself.

Clark appeared to walk stiff before sitting on the bench with a towel over her head and wearing a pained look on her face.

After the game, Clark's brother Colin let out his anger by appearing to blame the officiating for his sister's injury.

'Make no mistake, this is on the reffing,' Colin posted before eventually deleting the tweet.

Caitlin finished the night with 14 points, eight rebounds, seven assists, one steal and five turnovers.

Meanwhile, Clark again blew up at WNBA officials during the game - after she didn't get the foul calls that she may have wanted.

In the third quarter of a game against the Connecticut Sun being played at TD Garden in Boston, Clark was having a conversation with official Michael Price before referees took a look at an out-of-bounds call.

The conversation appeared normal, up until Price began to walk away. Clark then tried saying something back to him before he fully turned around.

Clark then flipped out and began yelling at Price - forcing assistant coach Briann January to hold her back.

Clark continued screaming toward Price before January pulled her back more then directed her toward the bench.

She appeared to say, 'Are you f***ing kidding me' before officials went to look at the replay. ESPN cameras caught her saying to Price, 'That's just rude. Grow up.'
