Chris Eubank Jr has claimed he was 'unable to function' for two days as he suffered from 'severe dehydration' following his first fight against Conor Benn.
Eubank Jr needed to be taken to hospital for precautionary checks after beating Benn by unanimous decision back in May.
His post-fight press conference was cancelled amid concerns over a cut above his right eye, while Benn had claimed he had broken Eubank Jr's jaw.
Eubank Jr was released two days after the fight and has now revealed his stay in hospital had been due to suffering from 'severe dehydration'.
'The main focus was the severe dehydration,' he told BBC Radio 5 Live's Boxing with Steve Bunce.
'It caused swelling all around my face and my body. And it stopped me from being able to function for a day or two.

'They had to put a drip in me for 24, 48 hours of constant liquids going into my system. The headache was unbearable.'
Under the original agreement for the fight, Eubank Jr - who has campaigned as high as super-middleweight - had agreed to meet a catchweight of 157 pounds.
Eubank Jr had shared videos of himself in a sauna suit in the build-up to the fight, which are used to increase sweating to shed as much water weight as possible.
He failed the first weigh-in, being narrowly over the 160lb and was hit with a $500,000 (£375,000) fine as a result.
A controversial 10-pound rehydration clause was also written into his contract, which Eubank Jr met by making the weight for the strict 170lb cap on the fight-day weigh-in.
The clause had caused a brief fall-out between Eubank Jr and his father, but Eubank Sr arrived with his son ahead of the fight at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
Eubank Jr admitted to the BBC that the restrictions had taken its toll and impacted how he had fought against Benn.
'I had been restricted from what I was able to eat and drink after the weigh-in, that took it's toll,' Eubank Jr said.

'I felt the effects of that during the fight. Which caused me to maybe, my legs weren't as strong as they usually were.
'It caused me to have to drag this kid into a dogfight where I am just going to keep punching until the referee stops me.'
Eubank Jr and Benn will meet for the second time on November 15 at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
The pair face off for the first time this week as the build-up continues to their second fight.
