A hugely bizarre moment occurred during the Pitt-Louisville game on Saturday as a pair of Panthers players began fighting with a ball boy.

Pitt linebacker Rasheem Biles gave his team a 17-0 advantage in the first quarter when he picked off Louisville's Miller Moss and returned it 75 yards for a touchdown.

And the 19-year-old was unsurprisingly excited by his big play as he danced with the ball afterwards in the endzone.

Things then took an ugly turn, however, as cameras soon showed a ball boy fighting Biles and his teammate Isaiah Neal on the sideline to get the ball back.

The ball boy could be seen trying to wrestle the ball out of Biles' hands before it popped loose, leading Biles to tug on the ball boy so that Neal could go and retrieve the ball.

Biles also shoved the ball boy in the back.

The ballboy desperately scrambled to retrieve the ball on the sideline as one player acrobatically tossed it in the other direction

Despite the ball boy scrambling to retrieve the ball, Neal was then able to get his hands on it and acrobatically tossed it back in Biles' direction, before someone gave it back to the linebacker.

Biles then mimicked a basketball Eurostep move before dropping the ball into the crowd.

Fans had a range of stunned reactions to the moment on social media.

'Lmao that ball boy is going above and beyond,' one said.

'Why was the ball dude wilding like that?? I cannot stop laughing,' another asked.

A third fan theorized: 'Nahhh they HAVE to get paid per ball they have at the end of a game or something [laughing-crying emoji] ain’t no way.'

And a fourth said: 'These are the kind of ball boys I want on my sideline.'

It ultimately proved to be a high-scoring first half as Pitt went into the break up 27-17.
