Daily Mail Sport readers have offered their backing to Thomas Tuchel’s forthright assessment of the Wembley crowd, after the England boss claimed the national stadium was ‘silent’ against Wales.
Tuchel gave his assessment after England earned a 3-0 friendly win over Wales last Thursday, with 78,126 fans in attendance.
Wales had been backed by a contingent of around 7,000 fans, but Tuchel was unimpressed with the atmosphere created by England fans.
'The stadium was silent,' Tuchel said. 'We never got any energy back from the fans. If you just hear Wales fans, it's a bit sad. The team deserved big support. What more can we give in 20 minutes?
'The support in Serbia was absolutely fantastic. I love English football fans but the atmosphere today didn't match the performance on the field.
'I stand by this statement. We cannot do more than being 3-0 in a derby. I was thinking, 'why is the roof still on the stadium?' I would have wished for a bit more support in phases where it gets difficult. In the second half to get behind us, there was a bit too much support for Wales.'

While some may believe Tuchel has taken a risk in criticising England supporters, the vast majority of Daily Mail Sport readers agreed with his assessment.
Responding to a Daily Mail Sport poll which posed the question 'Was Thomas Tuchel right to criticise England's Wembley support?', a total of 77% of over 12,000 votes cast backed the Three Lions' bosses comment.
A smaller 23% deemed Tuchel to be wrong in criticising the Wembley support.
Fans had performed Mexican waves and launched paper aeroplanes in the second half of a 3-0 win last Thursday that was wrapped up inside 20 minutes.
Thousands of fans also left before full time amid severe delays on the Underground.
Morgan Rogers, Ollie Watkins and Bukayo Saka were on target for England in the opening 20 minutes against Wales to secure a 3-0 win in the friendly.
It is not the first time Tuchel has questioned the atmosphere at England matches during his tenue, which only began at the start of the year.
Tuchel had last month suggested England's sluggish 2-0 win over Andorra had been impacted by the crowd at Villa Park.

'It's difficult - it's a very different crowd to a Premier League crowd,' the England boss said post match.
'I think we would have got the crowd going, but it's very different and we know it.'
Daily Mail Sport's Oliver Holt was at Villa Park and remarked that 'you could hear a pin drop', such was the lack of atmosphere during the match.
It is the second readers have come down on Tuchel's side in recent weeks, after the German coach was backed for his decision to drop Jude Bellingham from the England squad.
England will hope to seal their place in next summer's World Cup on Tuesday, when Tuchel's side take on Latvia in Riga.
The Three Lions would achieve qualification with two matches to spare by claiming victory.
England have a perfect record in their qualifying group having won all five of their matches, putting them four points clear of Albania, who have played one game more.
