Dave Portnoy has revealed the blunt message which he received from Jordon Hudson after claiming her boyfriend, Bill Belichick, should retire from coaching.
After Belichick's Tar Heels fell to 4-6 for the season on Saturday, following a desperate 28-12 loss on the road at Wake Forest, Portnoy spoke out on socials.
The Barstool boss posted on X: 'Watching UNC is so frustrating. It's like an alien stole Belichick's brain. Just horribly coached. Horrible decisions.'
He added shortly after: 'Belichick needs to retire. This is disgusting. I'm not even sure he knows the score or where he is.'
Hudson is certainly not one to shy away from confrontation with Belichick's critics and proved that by sending Portnoy a blunt message after his rant online.
Portnoy, on Thursday, said on the Barstool Pick Em podcast: 'I got a thumbs down from her. I got a DM, just a thumbs down'.

Portnoy seemingly questioned Bill Belichick's sanity after UNC lost again on Saturday
Portnoy's co-host, Dan Katz, then questioned: 'What'd you send her?'
'I didn’t send her nothing… She DM’d me a thumbs down,' Portnoy explained.
Portnoy's comments come amid growing pressure on NFL legend Belichick, which only worsened after he was forced to address his team's troubling off-field behavior.
A bombshell report from the Raleigh news publication WRAL revealed around a fifth of UNC's 101-player roster had cited for speeding or reckless driving, with the publication adding that a large number of athletes at fault were ones Belichick recruited.
Speaking Wednesday, the 73-year-old Belichick insisted he had addressed the issue with his players and underlined his belief in the importance of player conduct away from the game.
But some UNC fans felt that while Belichick is being pictured with his 24-year-old girlfriend Jordon Hudson at cheerleading events, looking deeply unhappy at having to be there, his words would only have counted for so much.
'No culture or controls over there,' one fan wrote about the UNC team's conduct. 'He’s (Belichick) too busy watching Jordan's dance competition.'
Belichick told reporters about the issue on Wednesday afternoon: 'Our conduct outside of the building, outside of the program, is important to us, and we stress that.
Belichick was recently forced to address the troubling behaviour of UNC players off the field
'We’ve addressed multiple things, not just that. There are other things that go on, besides driving, that we’ve talked about absolutely.
'Multiple other people have talked about it as well to the team that aren’t members of the team. We’ve addressed it.'
The timing of the report, though, is unquestionably frustrating for Belichick.
His struggling team, 4-6 for the season, have a hugely anticipated showdonw with rivals Duke on Saturday afternoon.
