Broncos star JK Dobbins is set to miss the rest of the NFL season after suffering a significant foot injury, according to reports.

In a huge blow for Sean Payton's playoff-chasing team, the Denver running back will undergo surgery on the ligament issue.

Dobbins has scored four touchdowns and rushed for nearly 800 yards this season. But now, according to NFL Network, he has been placed on Injured Reserve.

Reports claim that the door remains ajar for Dobbins to return in time for the Super Bowl, should Denver make it to the end-of-season finale.

He suffered only a 'small tear' of his ligament, rather than a fracture, following a hip-drop tackle in Denver's win over the Las Vegas Raiders on November 6.

The Broncos currently sit atop the AFC West having won eight of their first 10 games of the 2025 season.

According to the NFL's own calculations, Payton's team have a 91 percent chance of making the playoffs heading into Sunday's game against the Chiefs.
