Derrick Henry's season is going from bad to worse after he fumbled late on in the Baltimore Ravens' loss to the Detroit Lions - and then quickly went viral for his bizarre reaction.

The running back has been one of the most reliable players in the NFL for close to a decade, running for close to 12,000 yards and previously being named Offensive Player of the Year.

But his 2025 season has started badly, with a fumble in each of his three games so far - a league-leading statistic.

Worryingly, he has already had as many fumbles this season as he did in the entirety of 2024 - and two of the three have come at vital moments in the fourth quarter.

On Monday night, his fumble - forced by a brutal tackle from Aidan Hutchinson - enabled the Lions to see out the win, taking the Ravens' record for the season to 1-2.

As he walked off the field, Henry's reaction quickly racked up millions of views on social media as he slammed his helmet down and slid onto the bench.

He then appeared to slip and fell onto his back on the Ravens sideline in the fourth quarter

The clip quickly went viral as fans clowned Henry and his night went from bad to worse

It appeared he didn't quite realize the force with which he had thrown himself down on the seat, with the running back sliding along the bench - all while appearing extremely frustrated with himself.

'Derrick Henry fell over like a kid having a temper tantrum,' Barstool Sports wrote on X, while one fan added: 'The clip of Derrick Henry crashing out on the bench is one of the funniest videos you will see all season.'

A third joked: 'You know it’s not going your way when you fall down while slamming your helmet. Derrick Henry is going through it right now.'

Next up for the Baltimore Ravens is the fellow 1-2 Kansas City Chiefs, meaning one of the best teams in the NFL will sit at 1-3 heading into Week 5 of the season.
