Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver AJ Brown has been ruled out for this Sunday's game against the NFC East rival New York Giants with a hamstring injury.
Brown, a former second-round pick, missed three straight practices this week after a game against the Minnesota Vikings last Sunday.
He worked out on the side on Thursday, but without taking any reps, Brown was left off the roster for this coming Sunday.
Brown has had something of a down year this season - catching under 30 passes for 395 yards and three touchdowns.
Meanwhile, fellow star DeVonta Smith is leading the team with 38 catches for 504 yards and a pair of touchdowns.
This is Brown's fourth season with the Eagles, having been drafted by the Tennessee Titans 51st overall in 2019.
Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver AJ Brown will be out for Sunday's game against the Giants
Brown had his biggest game of the year last Sunday against the Vikings - catching two TDs
Brown, who was picked out of Ole Miss, was traded to Philadelphia in 2022 for a first-round pick (used on flameout receiver Treylon Burks) and a third round pick.
Since then, Brown has consistently been a star for the Eagles - earning two of three Pro-Bowl nods and making three-straight All-Pro second-teams.
Brown caught three passes for 43 yards and a touchdown in Super Bowl LIX to win his first ever championship.
This season has been a bit bumpier. Last week, he caught four passes for 121 yards and two touchdowns.
But his only other game above 80 yards receiving came in Week 3 against the Los Angeles Rams (6 catches, 109 yards, one touchdown).
The Eagles have not said how long they expect Brown to be out injured.
While Smith and Jahan Dotson will slide up the depth chart in Brown's absence, the third wide receiver slot will be taken by either John Metchie III or Xavier Gipson.
