Thomas Tuchel was spotted in deep discussions with England outcast Jack Grealish following Everton's 1-0 victory over Manchester United on Monday.
Grealish last featured for the Three Lions against Finland in October 2024, just three days before Tuchel was appointed.
The winger had enjoyed a fine run of form under interim boss Lee Carsley, scoring twice in three Nations League appearances, but has not been in contention since the German was appointed.
However, he has since made a loan switch from Manchester City to Everton and has recaptured some of the performances that saw him become Britain's most expensive footballer.
The 30-year-old has one goal and four assists in 11 Premier League games under the management of David Moyes, who gave the glowing praise of saying he is 'even better than I thought he was'.
And it appears Grealish's rejuvenation may have caught the attention of Tuchel, who was in the stands alongside Three Lions assistant boss at Old Trafford on Monday evening.

The England manager was seen embracing Grealish after the Toffees' victory, putting an arm around him before sharing a handshake and some conversation away from the ruckus of the tunnel.
Tuchel even shared a laugh with the winger, who will undoubtedly have his sights on a return to the England camp ahead of next summer's World Cup.
Grealish did represent England when Qatar hosted the tournament in 2022, but only picked up cameo minutes and collected just one assist before Gareth Southgate's side were knocked out by France.
He was most recently left out of the squad for Euro 2024 and was reintroduced to the squad following Carsley's temporary stint as manager.
It is a different story altogether for his Everton team-mate James Garner, who Tuchel was also seen speaking with on Monday night. The pair also shared a chat and a handshake in what appeared to be a warm interaction.
Garner, who last featured on the international stage during England's Under-21 Championship winning campaign, has enjoyed fine form for the Toffees with boss Moyes touting him for a senior call up.
Tuchel also spoke with midfielder James Garner who has been talked-up for an England call-up
'I like him a lot and think he's a really good player and he must be in a group of English midfield players who are doing well,' Moyes said earlier this month.
'I see (Bournemouth's) Alex Scott has been called up by England so I would have thought Jimmy Garner's form as a midfield player wouldn't have been a million miles off that either.'
The 24-year-old is yet to be capped for the first-team but faces stiff competition in midfield, with Elliott Anderson and Adam Wharton emerging as the newest talents in an already-stacked area of the park.
