Enzo Maresca will be banned from the touchline for this Saturday's trip to Nottingham Forest, the FA have confirmed, while the Chelsea head coach will also pay an £8,000 fine for how he celebrated their late win over Liverpool.
The Blues boss sprinted down the sidelines to join his players in the corner after Estevao Willian had scored in the 96th minute to secure a 2-1 victory before the international break. Referee Anthony Taylor showed Maresca a second yellow card on the day, and the FA charged him for acting in an improper manner.
Maresca subsequently admitted the charge and accepted the standard penalty, prompting his ban and fine. It means the Italian will not be allowed in the dugout when Chelsea visit Forest in the Premier League's first game back after the break.
Instead, he will be expected to sit in the City Ground directors' box while the game is ongoing. He will still be allowed to enter the away side's changing room before kick-off, at half-time, and after full-time.
Maresca will continue to have a significant say on the game itself as he is allowed to be in communication with his fellow coaches in the Chelsea dugout.
Assistant Willy Caballero, the former Manchester City and Chelsea goalkeeper, is likely to take the lead in the technical area in Maresca's physical absence.

It is a Premier League game with a great deal riding on it, with Forest boss Ange Postecoglou under extreme pressure after zero wins in seven games.
Sean Dyche, who would bring with him a much more conservative style of play, has been heavily linked with taking over from Postecoglou.
