Former Lakers big man Christian Wood shot at intruders of his LA home on Wednesday and forced them to flee, it has emerged.
Wood, an NBA veteran who suited up for the Lakers in the 2023-24 season, was at his Sherman Oaks home when three people broke through the back door around 1pm, KTLA reported.
According to Los Angeles police, Wood fired three rounds of ammunition into the ground to scare off the intruders before they fled.
It is not believed that the suspects were able to take anything from Wood's home, and there weren't any injuries reported.
However, the intruders reportedly remain on the loose, and were last seen in a gray Jeep Cherokee.
Wood is part of an increasingly long list of athletes who have had their homes broken into of late.

And just last week, reigning NBA MVP Shai Gillgeous-Alexander had his house broken into while he was playing against the Wizards.
The Thunder star said 'everybody's safe' following the incident, which has not yet resulted in arrests.
Wood, meanwhile, has yet to speak out following his home being broken into.
The Long Beach native, 30, played eight seasons in the NBA, suiting up for the Sixers, Hornets, Bucks, Pelicans, Pistons, Rockets, Mavericks and Lakers.
