Media access to a locker room is part-and-parcel with the job of a sports writer - leading to reporters often asking questions to athletes in various states of undress.

During a recent game against the Utah Jazz, a group of reporters were asking questions of Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James by his locker.

The only issue is that James had recently gotten out of the team shower and was wearing nothing but a towel during his availability.

While this is relatively common in sports, fans still found it weird that a mostly-naked James was being asked questions.

After a clip of James' answers was posted to social media, multiple users on X commented about how awkward this situation was.

'Why are the[y] interviewing Bron when he's naked [crying emojis],' one post read.

Lebron James: "Shit like this week was kinda like my training camp for me to be honest. I didn't get an opportunity to practice with the guys at all throughout camp, throughout the preseason. I'm still working my way back"#SCARYHOURS pic.twitter.com/s1uw1728TU

Fans were shocked when journalists interviewed a half-naked LeBron James in the locker room

James finally made his return to the league just last week after recovering from an injury

Another comment said, 'Lebronnn put some pants on'.

'Interviewing LeButtNaked is crazy,' a different user posted.

James was being asked about his return to the NBA. After missing most of the start of the season with an injury, LeBron made his 2025-26 season debut last week.

'S*** like this week was kinda like my training camp for me to be honest,' James told reporters.

'I didn't get an opportunity to practice with the guys at all throughout camp, throughout the preseason. So, I'm still working my way back.'

James played against the Jazz in both his first two games of the season. At home on Tuesday, he had a double-double of 11 points and 12 assists alongside three rebounds.

On Sunday, James visited Utah and dropped 17 points, six rebounds, and eight assists.

He'll look to build on his performances on Tuesday night with a matchup against the cross-city rival Los Angeles Clippers.
