Alabama kicker Conor Talty could not hide his frustration at one of his own teammates after missing a kick in their surprising loss to Oklahoma on Saturday.

With just three seconds left of the first half in Tuscaloosa, Talty had a 36-yard field goal attempt to tie the game up at 17-17.

But long snapper David Bird released the ball slightly too high, forcing placeholder Blake Doug to quickly adjust in time for Talty's kick.

Doug caught the ball and got it into place but it was a disastrous attempt by Talty, who shanked his kick and pulled the ball way left of the posts.

He seemingly put the blame squarely on Bird's shoulders, however, and berated his teammate as they ran back to the locker room for half time.

Talty appeared to say the snap was too high, screaming at Bird as he ran past. It was not a good look for Talty, who missed his only field goal of the game but did make all three of his extra point attempts.

The incident encapsulated a miserable day for the Crimson Tide, who fell to a second defeat of the season that sent shock waves through the SEC

The Oklahoma Sooners had three takeaways - scoring 17 points off those turnovers - and got a key stop late to end Alabama's winning streaks of eight games overall and 17 at home.

The Crimson Tide had a chance down the stretch, but Ty Simpson's fourth-down pass to Ryan Williams fell incomplete.

The Sooners ran out the clock from there, setting off a raucous celebration by their visiting fans.

Alabama still controls its destiny in the SEC championship game race and the College Football Playoff and can secure a spot by beating rival Auburn in the Iron Bowl in two weeks.
