The Ryder Cup officially got underway with a glitzy opening ceremony at the Black Course at Bethpage State Park in Farmingdale, New York on Wednesday evening.
While all eyes will be on the players this weekend, their wives and girlfriends also drew plenty of attention as they stepped out in coordinated outfits to support their teams.
The European WAGs wore striking all-white ensembles, while the Team USA WAGs opted for classic navy as they posed ahead of the tournament.
The tradition of WAGs supporting their partners at the Ryder Cup has become a regular feature of the biennial event, with many travelling across the world to attend.
Over the years, their appearance at the opening ceremony has become something of a fashion moment, with coordinated outfits often organised by the team or players’ partners themselves.
This year’s event sees Team USA looking to retain the trophy on home soil after their defeat at Marco Simone Golf & Country Club in Rome in 2023.

With large crowds expected throughout the weekend, the atmosphere is set to be lively both on and off the course.

Many of them have built public profiles in their own right, with some working as models, influencers, or entrepreneurs.
Elsewhere on the day, New York Governor Kathy Hochul was met with loud boos from the crowd during the opening ceremony.

But as she was introduced, large sections of the crowd responded with audible jeers.
'Your friend and mine, Governor Kathy Hochul,' said host Carson Daly, who stood on stage while a camera cut to Hochul in the crowd.
'Governor, thank you for being here. And thank you to your team too for getting us ready for the Ryder Cup in New York.'
Despite the friendly welcome, the crowd's reaction was unmistakably hostile.
