WNBA star Kysre Gondrezick has made history by becoming the first black professional women's basketball player to appear in Playboy.

The former Indiana Fever and Chicago Sky player, who is currently a free agent, left little to the imagination as she featured as Miss June 2025.

Gondrezick, who used to date Boston Celtics player Jaylen Brown, posed for a series of retro-glam shots.

Highlighting her love for basketball, one picture shows the 28-year-old leaning over a luxurious Mercedes with a ball under her arms.

Speaking about her time away from the WNBA court, she said: 'What people label as a transition, I embody as evolution. I'm not stepping outside who I am. I'm building a multidimensional brand.

'Becoming a WNBA player and getting to that level, you put in a lot of work to get there. You have to put in even more work to stay there.'

Gondrezick drew plenty of attention at last month's Victoria's Secret show in New York

Gondrezick, who also previously dated former NBA guard Kevin Porter Jr., caught the eye of several brands - most notably Victoria's Secret - during her career with her fashion-forward tunnel fits, including sultry power suits.

Like former teammate Angel Reese, she has enjoyed a whirlwind foray into the world of fashion, attending New York Fashion Week and the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show in the past.

Gondrezick was selected out of West Virginia University with the No. 4 overall pick by the Fever in the 2021 WNBA draft.

But she only managed to play 19 games for the Fever before getting waived and was long gone before the franchise took off with the arrival of Caitlin Clark in 2024.

Having spent training camp with the Sky in 2022, they brought her back on a one-year, non-guaranteed deal in February 2024.

She only played five games in Chicago, however, before being released and has averages of 1.7 points, 0.9 rebounds and 0.8 assists across her entire WNBA career.

When the Sky cut her in the summer of 2024, Gondrezick revealed she was hoping to get into acting. 'I am all over the place right now,' she said.

'I'm in acting classes, acting training. I'm getting ready to shoot some film work for 2025. It's been a heck of a year.

'It is funny, someone said, "You have trended more since you've been cut and since you were in the league — and you were trending so much in the league." I'm just living in the beauty of my purpose.'
