Graham Potter admitted he's seen the viral face-swap memes on social media, which he says have been a great source of amusement for his son.

West Ham United fans have spent the week in the aftermath of the Hammers' 2-1 home loss to Crystal Palace superimposing the 50-year-old's face onto those of well-known figures.

The hilarious face-swaps with the likes of Donald Trump, Sydney Sweeney and the Chuckle Brothers have racked up millions of views and even come to the knowledge of Potter himself.

The struggling West Ham boss was asked about the trend in a press conference ahead of his side's clash with Everton on Monday, saying: 'Yes I am (aware of the trend).

'It made my 15-year-old son laugh a lot so, as I said, you have to accept what comes with it. It comes with criticism, it comes with ridicule but that's just the environment we're in and it is what it is.

'No, not really (I haven't got a favourite), I haven't given it too much thought. You can imagine I've got a few more important things to concentrate on than that but as I said, it is what it is. You have to deal with those things.'

The under-pressure Hammers boss has been savaged by fans this week on social media

But the most eye-catching example is the image has Potter in the place of Hollywood actress Sydney Sweeney

Amongst the memes posted to X is an image of Potter joined by Hammers midfielder James Ward-Prowse as the pair trade places with the iconic Chuckle Brothers. In another, they become Barbie and Ken from the hit 2023 film.

A third mock up replaces the faces of Trump and North Korean dictator Kim Jong-un with, of course, Potter and Ward-Prowse.

The former Southampton midfielder is spared mockery in a widely circulated clip that uses AI to replace Trump's face with Potter during an interview in which he boasts about making 'a tremendous amount of money'.

The accompanying caption reads: 'Graham Potter when his payoff from David Sullivan hits his bank account.'

Club co-owner Sullivan's fiancee Ampika Pickston has also been targeted in multiple distorted images.

Perhaps the most striking of all the Potter memes has him stand in for the host of Hollywood stars who featured in Ellen DeGeneres' famous 2014 Oscars group selfie.

Despite the barrage of light-hearted posts, Potter finds himself in an increasingly precarious position at the London Stadium.

His side have won just one game all season and travel to Merseyside to face Everton at Hill Dickinson Stadium on Monday night.

The Hammers boss however today insisted the pressure isn't getting to him.

'It doesn’t affect me. I don’t listen to that. It’s your job, and other people’s jobs, to create speculation and it’s part of the noise of the Premier League; it’s what you sign up for,' he said.

'So if results aren’t good, which they haven’t been and no one is shying away from that, the results aren’t what we want, then there’s always speculation.

'There’s always noise, there’s always negativity, and there’s nothing to complain about from my perspective.'

Regarding talks about his future with the hierarchy at the club, Potter added: 'We’ve had positive talks but we all understand where we are at and we want to improve.

'As I said before, no one is happy with where we are at, but at the same time you have to look at the context and the situation and not get caught up in the noise.'
